“Female voices from another world …“
The Frankfurter Neue Presse
"This evening, the singing of these women was simply magical. The sleek, pure entrance of their voices carried the character of this special type of music. In ever changing combinations, the artists would sing in unison, then move into Organum in forths -- a second voice at a set distance from the main melody -- and on occasion would become more polyphonic. Press comments about Inspiration: Hildegard von Bingen -
Lieder und Visionen
10 out of 10 points on Klassik Heute
„A rewarding, musical (very) Early Music adventure - a harmoniously unique, deeply spiritual aural experience for our modern classical ears!"
"VocaMe - Inspiration Hildegard von Bingen" CD of the Week
“The effortless and devoted voices of Sigrid Hausen, Sarah M. Newman, Petra Noskaiová, and Gerlinde Sämann have more ‘substance’ than the slim, body-less voices of the Sequentia-Ensemble...The music sounds full and ripe, sometimes downright monumental. An overtone rich frenzy by which the sound waves from a mystical hall and instrumental acoustic are carried...The strong, suggestive impact and soul soothing strength of Hildegard’s music is one you won’t be able to withdraw from your mind.”
"A successful approach to the sound of the 12th Century."
„VocaMe‘s excursion into the world of Hildegard von Bingen has been very successful. It is a spiritual journey into the Middle Ages with wonderful, clear voices and uplifting harmonies."
